As with alot of things in life you create to fill a need.
Picture
I started doing this 2 sided sign and had no good way to work the two sides simultainiously.
So necessity being the Mother of invention , I put on the old thinking cap. I wanted a support structure that I would be able to use for a multitude of differnt signs, two sided, hanging, post mounted, etc.

This is what came to be. I utilized a portable base that was a stand for my spindle sander, This piece had a good deal of weight and I thought it would make a fairly stable base that was also portable.
I added the vertical post and an overhanging arm. This arm also extends over the sander side of the post and has a attachment point for counter balance as needed.

The disc, located at about table height rotates and has indexing holes drilled into the outside perimeter to lock it into place.

The way this works is I mount the sign to the disc then I can rotate it 360 degrees and work the signs from almost any angle.
This disc also has a higher position on the post above the slide bolt that locks into the disc holes.

There you have it my" Sign Aid Station" it works great!

This is an on going story of my explorations into the artistic world, chronicling the process of this journey.    Highlighting my successes as well as my failures. I'll try not to focus on the failures, but they are what has taught me the most.
I Owe the ability to take this journey to; My Mom
(for she bred in me a drive and creativity required for this type of trip) My Incredible Wife and Children for their support, and to the world of creative people that inspire me everyday.
One in particular is Dan Sawatzky (click here to meet Dan) This Guy has Changed the way I look at things. He is truly an artist and a Visionary with passion.
